Fluffy Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes

  • 3⁄4 lb. potatoes, peeled and boiled
  • 1⁄4 cup warm buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1⁄4 tsp. ground white pepper


  • Place potatoes in large bowl and partially mash.
  • Add warm buttermilk and mix well, mashing potatoes completely.
  • Stir in butter, salt, and pepper. If you like your mashed potatoes creamy, add some of the potato water.
