- 1 large plantain, peeled and sliced 1⁄2 inch thick
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 1⁄2 tsp. kosher salt
- Heat oil in a wok to medium heat. Fry the plantain slices for 2 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and edges begin to caramelize.
- Drain on plates lined with paper towels and season immediately with salt. Serve warm.
