Fruit and Cheese Kebabs

This is a fun way to serve your child a healthy dose of fruit, protein, and carbohydrates, making for a balanced snack. Serve with rice crackers or other gluten-free crackers.

  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 10 medium strawberries, hulled
  • 10 blueberries


  • Cut Cheddar into fun shapes like stars or hearts with 1" cookie cutters. You will use 2 slices cheese for each skewer.
  • Thread fruit and cheese onto wooden skewers: first a strawberry, then a blueberry, then a piece of cheese, and so on—alternate to create a pattern. (For safety, be sure to snip off the pointed end of the skewer with a pair of kitchen shears.)
  • Can be placed in a flat storage container and chilled overnight.
