Garlic Croutons

These croutons are crunchy on the outside, but not too hard. It will be difficult to resist the temptation to snack on these tasty tidbits, so make plenty!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups day-old French bread, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. vegan margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ⅛ tsp. sea salt

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  • Place bread cubes in a bowl. Place margarine, olive oil, and garlic in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low until garlic is lightly browned. Add margarine mixture to bread cubes and quickly toss to coat. Place coated bread cubes on baking sheet and sprinkle with salt.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until croutons are golden brown. Cool and store in an airtight container.
