These croutons are crunchy on the outside, but not too hard. It will be difficult to resist the temptation to snack on these tasty tidbits, so make plenty!

- 4 cups day-old French bread, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. vegan margarine
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1⁄8 tsp. sea salt
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
- Place bread cubes in a bowl. Place margarine, olive oil, and garlic in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low until garlic is lightly browned. Add margarine mixture to bread cubes and quickly toss to coat. Place coated bread cubes on baking sheet and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until croutons are golden brown. Cool and store in an airtight container.
