Garlicky Italian Dressing

Ingredients

  • ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ¼ cup red or white wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, or lemon juice
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ tsp. Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp. mustard powder
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp. dried basil
  • ¼ tsp. dried oregano
  • ⅛ tsp. dried rosemary
  • ⅛ tsp. dried thyme

Directions

  • Add all the ingredients to a jar. Cover and shake well to combine. Refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to intensify and combine. Use a slotted spoon to remove and discard the garlic. Refrigerate between uses. To serve, allow 10 minutes for the dressing to come to room temperature and for the olive oil to become liquid again. Shake well to emulsify.
