Gaufre à la Limonade (Lemonade Waffles)

Limonade is a sparkling version of the American lemonade, a French soda that you can now find in the United States.

- ⅓ cup butter
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 4 large eggs
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 3 cups limonade
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over very low heat. Remove from heat and reserve.
- In a large bowl, whisk the flour, salt, eggs, and the sugar. Slowly add the limonade, whisking continuously. Once it’s well combined, add the melted butter and the baking powder. When it’s smooth, with no lumps, cover it and wait for at least 1 hour before cooking them with a standard waffle iron.
- Serve immediately with powdered sugar.
