German Chocolate Cake Cookies
This lighter-tasting chocolate cookie provides that little taste of chocolate you’re looking for without the heavy sugar or high caffeine.

- 1 box (18.25 oz.) box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1⁄2 cup raisins
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine all ingredients. Mix well using electric mixer set to low speed. If floury crumbs develop, add a dribble of water.
- Drop dough by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely before lifting cookies off sheet and onto a serving dish.
