Gluten-Free Grilled Cheese and Tomato Sandwich

What’s better than a warm and crispy grilled cheese sandwich? Here’s a slightly different spin on the old favorite that makes it more nutritious, too.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices gluten-free bread
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1 slice Cheddar cheese
  • 2 thin slices of tomato

Directions

  • Spread the butter on one side of each slice of bread. Make a sandwich with the cheese and tomato between the two slices of bread, with the butter on the outside of the sandwich.
  • Place the sandwich in a small skillet over medium heat and cook it for about 2 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and the bread becomes slightly browned and crispy.
