Grain Coffee

An ideal substitute for coffee, caffeine-free grain coffee is made from roasted grains (barley, rice, or rye), beans (aduki beans or chickpeas), and roots (burdock, chicory, beet, or dandelion root).

Ingredients

  • 1 cup spring water
  • 1 tsp. grain coffee powder
  • 2 tsp. almond milk

Directions

  • In a saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil. Add grain coffee powder to cup. Pour water over grain coffee. Stir in almond milk.
