Grilled Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

Already an American classic, this sandwich benefits greatly from a crispy grilling.

  • 4 thin slices seeded sandwich bread
  • 1⁄4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 large banana, thinly sliced
  • 3 Tbsp. softened butter


  • Make 2 peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Spread the outside of all the bread slices with the softened butter.
  • Place each sandwich in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Fry on both sides until well browned and the peanut butter is oozy and hot.
