Grilled Pound Cake with Fruit
I made this recipe all summer. The butter in the pound cake crisps up on the grill.
- 1 pound cake, cut into thick slices
- canola oil
- fresh peaches, figs or pineapple
- ice cream
- Preheat the grill. Lightly oil the grill, and place sliced pound cake on one side of the hot grill. Place sliced fruit on the other side. Close the lid. Turn cake and fruit after 2 minutes. Grill the other side of cake (fruit may not need the other side grilled.) Serve with ice cream.
