Healthier Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato Sandwich

This sandwich is commonly known as the “BLT” and is usually made with white bread, but some brands of whole wheat bread have fewer calories. Wheat bread usually contains more fiber. Select whole grain bread for the most nutrition.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices extra lean bacon
  • 4 Tbsp. fat-free Miracle Whip salad dressing
  • 8 slices whole wheat bread, toasted
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 8 lettuce leaves

Directions

  • Broil the bacon. Spread a thin layer of Miracle Whip on pieces of toasted bread. Arrange bacon and tomato slices on toast with lettuce.
