Healthy Brown Rice

While instant brown rice is a quick and easy alternative to making regular brown rice, it can be hard to find. Another option is to make brown rice ahead of time and reheat it later.

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 2 1⁄4 cups water


  • Bring the rice and water to boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook the rice, uncovered, until the water is absorbed (40 to 45 minutes). Let stand for 10 minutes. Fluff and serve.
