Holiday Punch

Keep this punch warm by keeping it in the slow cooker. Use a soup ladle to let guests serve themselves.

  • 1 quart apple juice
  • 1 quart cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 star anise pod
  • 4 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1⁄2 medium orange, peeled and cut into 1⁄4-inch slices


  • Add the apple juice, cranberry juice, and brown sugar to a slow cooker. Cook on low setting, stirring occasionally, until the brown sugar is dissolved. Add the star anise, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Cook, covered, for 1 hour on low setting.
  • Right before guests arrive, add the orange slices.
