Holiday Spiced Cider
To add a decidedly adult twist to this drink, an ounce of bourbon can be added to each mug.

Ingredients
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 1⁄4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1⁄8 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 quart apple cider
- 5 cinnamon sticks
- 4 thin orange slices
Directions
- Place the cloves, nutmeg, and ginger in a tea ball. Pour the cider into a large saucepan into which one of the cinnamon sticks has been placed. Hang the tea ball on the side of the pot, being sure that it is submerged in the cider. Float the orange slices on top. Heat to a temperature just below a simmer and allow to cook for at least 15 minutes.
- To serve, place one cinnamon stick in each of four mugs and pour cider in, leaving the oranges and cinnamon stick in the pot.
