Homemade Butterscotch Fondue
Stirring the mixture continuously once the butter and whipping cream are added keeps it from hardening into butterscotch candy.

- 1 cups brown sugar
- ⅛ cup water
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- ½ cup whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1 medium apple, cored and cut into chunks
- 6 strawberries, quartered
- ½ cup red grapes
- ½ cup green grapes
- Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan and cook on medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. When the sugar is dissolved, turn up the heat and boil the mixture for at least 5 minutes, until the sugar turns very slightly darker.
- Remove from the heat and immediately stir in the butter and the whipping cream. Stir vigorously to keep the mixture from hardening. Stir in the corn syrup and the chopped peanuts. Serve unheated in a bowl with the fruit dipping.
