Hopped and Honeyed Mustard

Impress your party guests with homemade mustard. This beer and honey version is good on burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken or even soft pretzels.

  • 1⁄2 cup mustard seeds
  • 1⁄2 cup IPA beer
  • 1⁄2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon coarse salt


  • Combine all ingredients in a Mason jar and refrigerate for 48 hours.
  • Transfer everything to a blender or food processor. Process to desired texture. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
