Hot-buttered rum is a comforting and soothing hot beverage with a kick. It is the perfect après-ski drink.

- 2 oz. unsalted butter, softened
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄8 tsp. cloves
- 1⁄4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1⁄8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 cup water
- 3 oz. gold rum
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Whip the butter with the honey, brown sugar, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg with an electric mixer until fluffy.
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Combine the rum, boiling water, and butter mixture and stir until melted. Pour the hot buttered rum into two coffee mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
