Hot and Spicy Pork Meatballs

Pork makes excellent meatballs. Spiked with pepper and barbecue sauce, you have wonderful sandwiches.

  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1⁄2 cup fine breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1⁄2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1⁄4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. hot sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chili sauce
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1⁄2 cup canola oil


  • Mix the pork, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, cloves, hot sauce, chili sauce, and egg in a large bowl. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Heat the oil to 350ºF in a large frying pan. Fry meatballs until brown and crisp all over. Serve hot.
