Icebox Vegetable Salad

- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1⁄2 tsp. pepper
- 8 oz. each, thawed: corn, peas, green beans, or any vegetable combination (for a total of 24 oz.)
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 medium onion, minced
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, vinegar, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
- Add thawed veggies, celery, and onion, and stir well. Keep in refrigerator overnight to meld flavors. Stir a few times before serving.
