Instant Fondue

For a more romantic atmosphere, transfer the cooked cheese to a chocolate fondue pot and serve over an open flame.

  • 1⁄4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp. apple schnapps
  • 1⁄2 lb. Cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Soak the walnuts in the liqueur for at least 15 minutes.
  • Spread the cheese in a shallow greased baking dish. Sprinkle the liquor-soaked walnuts on top.
  • Bake for 3 to 5 minutes, until the cheese melts. (This will happen quite quickly.) Remove and serve in a ceramic fondue pot.
