Island Grilled Pork Patties

Make sure you don’t overcook the pork—it will get dry and chewy. Top with your favorite salsa or chutney to finish.

  • 1 lb. lean ground pork
  • 1 Tbsp. lime zest
  • 1 tsp. jerk seasoning
  • 1⁄2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1⁄2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1⁄4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro


  • Lightly mix together all the ingredients and form into 4 patties, each about 4 ounces.
  • Spray a medium skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.
  • Cook patties for 7 to 9 minutes per side, turning once, until cooked throughout. Transfer to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm. Let rest for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the juices to reabsorb. Serve hot.
