Lingonberries are hardy red berries that grow in cold, northern climates. In Scandinavian countries, lingonberry jam is a popular condiment for meat as well as a topping for baked goods.

- 4 cups fresh or frozen lingonberries, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- In a medium saucepan, add lingonberries and 1 cup water. Set over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the berries begin to pop. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar.
- Cool and pour into clean jars. Store in the refrigerator where it can keep for months.
