Mango Lemon Sorbet

This tastes like fresh mangoes with a velvety texture. You can substitute lime juice for lemon for a different sparkle. Mangoes are high in fiber and vitamin A. Throw a few blueberries on top of each dish of sorbet for great color and even more fiber.

  • 1⁄2 cup sugar
  • 1⁄4 cup water
  • 3 cups mango purée
  • 1⁄4 cup lemon juice


  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and heat just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and chill.
  • Combine chilled sugar syrup, mango purée, and lemon juice.
  • Freeze in an ice-cream freezer according to manufacturer’s instructions.
