Maple Apple Chips
For a unique apple pie fix, try these maple-sweetened chips. A dehydrator is used in this recipe to keep the nutrients of the apple intact while preserving the chips so they will last for several months.

- Juice of ½ medium lemon
- 4 medium sweet apples, cored and thinly sliced crosswise
- 3 Tbsp. maple syrup
- Drizzle and rub lemon juice all over the apple slices, on both sides. Drizzle with maple syrup and rub with fingers to coat apple slices evenly.
- Lay the apple slices on dehydrator trays, careful not to overcrowd. Turn the dehydrator on to 135°F and allow the apples to dry for 10 hours. Store in airtight bags or glass containers at room temperature.
