Maple Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄8 tsp. salt
- 3⁄4 cup maple syrup
- 1 1⁄2 cups heavy cream
- 2 egg whites, lightly beaten
Directions
- In a bowl, beat together the egg yolks, sugar, salt, and syrup until smooth and thick. Add the cream and mix well, then add the egg whites. Beat until well blended.
- Pour into 2 loaf pans and place in the freezer. Stir after 30 minutes and again after 1 hour to ensure a smooth mixture. Freeze for 1 hour longer, or until smooth and firm.
