Mayonnaise is extremely easy to make from scratch and has more flavor than premade mayonnaise.

- ¼ tsp. white wine vinegar
- ½ tsp. lemon juice
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- ⅛ tsp. cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ⅛ tsp. ground black pepper
- In a bowl, whisk vinegar and lemon juice into the egg yolk. Whisk oil into egg yolk mixture drop by drop at first, and then in a slow, steady stream until all has been incorporated.
- Season with cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
