Mexican Hot Chocolate
Few things are a more comforting on a winter night than a cup of hot cocoa, except this hot cocoa with a little extra spice.

- 4 cups whole milk
- ½ cup water
- 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped (you could also use chocolate chips)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ tsp. chili powder
- ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. salt
- Over medium heat, combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan. Whisk constantly until mixture is hot, but not boiling, about 6–8 minutes. Pour into mugs and serve.
