Micheladas

You can vary the ingredients in this classic drink to your taste. Try it with different kinds of beer too; dark ale will make a more robust Michelada than a light beer.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. coarse salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 1 bottle (16 oz.) beer
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • ¼ tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • ½ tsp. salt

Directions

  • Place salt and chili powder in two small saucers. Dip the rims of 2 highball glasses in one or both, then fill glasses with ice.
  • In cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients except ice and shake to blend well. Strain into prepared glasses.
