Mulled Apple Cider

To make this cold-weather classic, heat apple cider, orange juice, and honey with cinnamon and cloves in a slow cooker. Serve in mugs with a slice of lemon and mulling spices.

  • 1 orange
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 10 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, cut into thin slices


  • With your hand, roll the orange around on the countertop to soften. Stick cloves into the skin of the orange.
  • Combine cider, orange juice, honey, cinnamon sticks, and orange in 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or until flavors are blended and hot. Stir in lemon juice and lemon slices. Serve in mugs.
