Mulled Wine

Make a big batch of this classic wine punch in a slow cooker. It’s great to serve during the holidays.

  • 1 bottle (750 milliliters) red wine
  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ cup agave nectar
  • 1 tsp. allspice berries
  • 3 oranges, divided
  • 2 lemons, sliced


  • Add wine, apple cider, cinnamon, agave, allspice, the slices of 2 oranges, and lemon slices to a 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours.
  • Meanwhile, using a vegetable peeler, cut the peel of the remaining orange into strips.
  • Ladle into mugs. Garnish each mug with an orange peel and serve hot.
