- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ tsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. salt
- ⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg; blend into butter mixture.
- Drop by teaspoon-sized cookie scoop onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake 12–15 minutes, or until edges are brown.
