Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding in the Slow Cooker

This creamy delicious rice pudding can be served hot or cold. Top it with cinnamon and sweetened whipped cream for a special treat.

  • ¾ cup long-grain rice
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted


  • In a colander, rinse rice with cold water, until water runs clear.
  • Pour rice into a greased 4-quart slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on high for 2½–3 hours, until rice has absorbed the liquid.
  • Serve warm or refrigerate until cold.
