One Superb Herb Green Smoothie

Although basil has become more and more common as a main ingredient in things like pesto and pasta sauce, this herb still doesn’t get the attention it deserves for the health benefits it offers.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup baby spinach
  • ½ cup basil leaves
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled
  • ½ cup purified water

Directions

  • Place the lettuce, spinach, basil, cucumber, and garlic in a blender with half of the water and blend until combined thoroughly.
  • If needed, continue adding remaining water while blending until desired texture is achieved.
