Oven-Baked Fries

Even with oil, butter, and cheese, these crisp little fries have less than 30 percent calories of fat per serving.

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese


  • Preheat oven to 475°F.
  • Scrub potatoes and cut into strips ¼" by ¼" by 4" long. In a medium bowl, toss together the potatoes, oil, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, butter, and cheese and mix Add potatoes and toss well.
  • Spread out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake, turning occasionally with a spatula, until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot.
