Oven-Fried Ravioli with Marinara

Fresh ravioli are dredged in seasoned breadcrumbs, then baked until crispy to create a restaurant-worthy “fried” appetizer. Serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1 cup Italian panko breadcrumbs
  • 1⁄2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 pkg. (20 oz.) refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • Marinara sauce

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Line a 18x13-inch baking sheet with foil and set wire cooling rack on top. Spray rack with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, beat egg and water with a fork or whisk. Combine breadcrumbs and parmesan on a plate or in a shallow dish. Dip one ravioli at a time in egg wash, then dredge both sides in crumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere. Place ravioli on rack on prepared baking sheet. Spray ravioli tops lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Bake 15 minutes until golden-crisp. Serve immediately with warm marinara on the side. Refrigerate any leftovers.
