Oven-Steamed Spaghetti Squash
Another serving option would be to lightly spray squash with olive oil and brown quickly under a broiler.
Serves: 6Hands-on: 10 minutesTotal: 1 hour 10 minutesDifficulty: Easy
- 2 medium spaghetti squashes
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cut the squashes in half; remove and discard the seeds. Place the squashes cut side down in a baking dish and pour in the water. Cover the baking dish with a lid or aluminum foil. Steam in the oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until fork tender.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Scrape the insides of the squashes with a fork to form spaghetti-like strands. Drizzle with olive oil.
