Oven-Steamed Spaghetti Squash

Ingredients

  • 2 medium spaghetti squashes
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cut the squashes in half; remove and discard the seeds. Place the squashes cut side down in a baking dish and pour in the water. Cover the baking dish with a lid or aluminum foil. Steam in the oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until fork tender.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Scrape the insides of the squashes with a fork to form spaghetti-like strands. Drizzle with olive oil.
