Overnight Slow Cooker Apple Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Simple Truth Organic™ Light Brown Sugar, firmly packed
  • 1⁄2 cup Simple Truth Organic™ Honey
  • 1⁄4 cup Simple Truth Organic™ 100% Apple Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Simple Truth Organic™ Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon allspice
  • 10 assorted apples, peeled, cored and cut into large chunks

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a 5-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or until apples are very tender.
  • Place a large fine-mesh sieve over a bowl; spoon one-third of apple mixture into the sieve. Press mixture through sieve using the back of a spoon or ladle. Discard pulp. Return apple mixture to slow cooker.
  • Repeat procedure with remaining apple mixture.
  • Continue to cook on HIGH for 2 hours, uncovered, or until mixture is thick, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a bowl; cover and chill up to 1 week.
