Paleo Apple Butter
Depending on when you start this recipe, it can take up to 2 days to complete, but it is great for giving an autumn-like feel to just about any side dish, main entrée, dessert, or even a hot or iced beverage.

- 6 apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
- ½ Tbsp. vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup honey
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. ground cloves
- Place apples and vanilla extract in a 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Mash apples with a fork. Stir in honey, cinnamon, and cloves.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Allow to cool at room temperature, or in refrigerator for 2 hours. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
