Paleo Fig Jam

This versatile spread is sure to liven up any Paleo breakfast sweet bread or fruit dish. It’s loaded with fiber and phytonutrients.

  • 2 lbs. fresh figs, peeled and cut into eighths
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. finely diced crystallized ginger


  • Add figs and honey in a bowl and mash together into a puree. Let sit for 30 minutes. Place the fig mixture, lemon juice, and ginger in a nonreactive pan over high heat, and cook for 25 minutes, stirring regularly, until mixture reaches a jam-like consistency.
  • While still hot, pour into clean, sterilized 4-ounce jars, and store covered in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
