Pan-Fried Tilapia

Breaded and pan-fried fish is a wonderful way to get your children to try fish. Always attempt mild fish such as tilapia, mahi-mahi, or swordfish first.

  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1⁄8 tsp. salt
  • 1⁄8 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 4 tilapia fillets


  • Heat oil in skillet over low heat.
  • Mix flour with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dip fish fillet in egg, and then flour mixture.
  • Pan-fry until golden brown, 5 to 6 minutes on each side, turning once. Serve hot.
