Panch Foran Spices
Panch in Hindi means number five and phoran is the Hindi name for tempering. Panch phoran is a blend of five whole spices. All the spices in the spice blend give a distinct flavor to the dish. Panch phoran spices are used in stir-fried vegetables, chutneys, and pickles.

- 1 Tbsp. fennel seeds
- 1 Tbsp. fenugreek seeds
- 1 Tbsp. cumin seeds
- 1 Tbsp. nigella (onion seeds)
- 1 Tbsp. black mustard seeds
- Mix all the spices together and store in an airtight container.
