Pecan Turkey Cheese Ball

This festive cheese ball is perfect for your Thanksgiving gathering. It’s easy to assemble and even easier to put out as an appetizer so guests don’t get too hungry waiting for the main meal.

Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 bag (8 oz.) cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1⁄2 tsp. onion powder
- 1⁄2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup orange bell pepper, sliced
- 10 oz. oval butter crackers
- 2 candy eyes
- 1⁄2 cup red bell pepper, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup yellow bell pepper, sliced
Directions
- In a medium bowl use an electric hand mixer to combine cream cheese, reserving ½ teaspoon for later, cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Place on a piece of plastic wrap and use the plastic to form mixture into a ball. Refrigerate about 30 minutes.
- Place pecans in a shallow dish, then remove plastic wrap from cheese ball and roll in pecans. Place on a serving platter.
- Cut a small sliver of orange bell pepper for the beak and use reserved cream cheese to adhere beak to a cracker. Use cream cheese to adhere candy eyes to the cracker. Place cracker at the front of the cheese ball.
- Create the turkey tail by decoratively placing red, yellow and orange bell pepper slices at the back of the cheese ball.
- Serve remaining crackers and bell peppers around cheese ball. Refrigerate leftovers.
