Pêches Grillées (Roasted Peaches)

Roasted peaches are the perfect dessert in summer after an intense barbecue day. Add a little thyme and salted butter to make these sweet and sour, or you can just make them plain with unsalted butter and sugar. You can also use nectarines.

Ingredients

  • 4 peaches
  • 2 Tbsp. salted butter, cut in 4 equal parts
  • 4 thyme sprigs
  • 4 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut the peaches in half and discard the kernel.
  • Lay them in a baking dish. Put ½ tablespoon butter where the kernel used to be on each half. Add a small thyme sprig, and sprinkle sugar on top of each. Put in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Serve warm.
