Pickled Chilies and Garlic

This is a simple, yet complex-tasting sauce to add to any noodle soup. It’s a great sauce for stewed meats as well.

  • 1 cup Serrano peppers
  • 3 Thai chilies
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar


  • Purée all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a jar, seal, and refrigerate for up to three months.
