Pinot Noir Cranberries
While still sweet, these sophisticated cranberries will win you over. They can be made up to a week ahead and kept in the refrigerator.

- 1 package (12 oz.) fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup pinot noir wine
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Combine cranberries, sugar, wine, and cinnamon stick in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, lower heat to medium-low, and simmer until the cranberries pop, about 10 minutes. As soon as they pop, use a slotted spoon to transfer the cranberries to a bowl.
- Continue to simmer the wine mixture until it thickens slightly, about 10 minutes more. Pour the liquid over the cranberries. Serve warm or at room temperature.
