Pork Burgers with Apples
You can do these on the grill or on the frying pan with a skim of oil. One apple provides enough natural fructose for four people.

- 1 medium green apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 green onions, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 lb. lean ground pork
- Using a fork, lightly blend all ingredients together.
- Heat grill to high. Form meat and apple mixture into burgers. Sear quickly, turn heat to low, and cook for 5 minutes per side.
