Turnips or winter squash could also be used here in place of the sweet potatoes.

  • 2 medium-sized sweet potatoes
  • ¾ cup water


  • Place the sweet potatoes in a 4-quart slow cooker, add water, cover, and cook on high for 3 hours.
  • Use a blender or food processor to purée until smooth.
