Quick Croutons

This is terrific way to use up leftover hamburger buns and the heels from sandwich loaves.

  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian herb blend
  • 4 cups cubed day-old bread


  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl mix together oil, garlic salt, and herbs. Add bread and toss quickly to coat. Spread onto dry baking sheet and toast until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Stir once or twice to promote even browning. Cool completely before serving.
