Quick Green Beans Amandine

Feel free to use your favorite brand of soy sauce in this recipe, and to substitute toasted sesame seeds or walnuts for the almonds if desired.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned French-cut green beans
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. slivered almonds

Directions

  • Heat the green beans to a boil in a small saucepan on medium heat. Use a strainer to drain the juice from the beans. Place the beans in a bowl or return them to the saucepan.
  • Immediately stir in the butter and the soy sauce. Garnish with the slivered almonds. Serve immediately.
